Ayutthaya

Founded in 1350, the historic city of Ayutthaya was the capital of the kingdom of Siam in second. It lasted from the fourteenth century to the eighteenth century, during this period, it became the world's largest and most international city, and is the world's diplomatic and commercial center.

In 1767, The city was attacked and razed by the Burma army. They razed the city and forced the residents to abandon the city. The city has never been rebuilt in the same place. It is still known as a widespread archaeological site.

Ayutthaya historical city is a famous history site. As one of the world's largest city at that time, but also an important political, economic and religious center, with many tourists recorded about the city and their experience there. Siam royal court also kept meticulous records; many of the destroyed city looted an empty, but some of them still exist which is an important source of authenticity.

1991, part of Ayutthaya historical park was added on the list of UNESCO World Heritage and also as a truly Thailand national arts development. Famous scenic spots include Wat Ratchaburana, Wat Phra Ram, Wiharn Phra Mongkhon Bopit and Wat Mahathat.

How to Get around

By bicycle

Riding a bicycle in the historical park is the most enjoyable and fun way to spend a day. It is easy to reach the Archaeological Park and the management of the bicycle, even if you are not very suitable. Riding on the paved paths, the distance between the temple is very small. Its excellent bike to get around near attractions, such as water market and various temples, as long as you are confident riding on speedy traffic.

By boat

Board a boat and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Thailand along the Chao Phraya River to Ayutthaya. It's a good choice if you want to see some of the best remote temples without trying to reach yourself. Dinner cruises and longer boat rides are available for group and provides a relaxed way to see Ayutthaya.
